We started in 2000, but our managers had worked in the cleaning industry for many years before starting Wellman Clean

As we just clean commercial premises and do not do anything else, we are specialists in what we do. We are also focused on office cleaning services that make up over 90% of our work. The fact that a huge proportion of our customers have been with us for many years, shows their gratitude and appreciation for the service we supply them.
Our company may be small in size, because we like to have a personal relationship with our clients and maintain quality. We only take on the best cleaners, as we are small we can pick and choose just the best. If we were very large, then we would have a hard time getting the cleaners we need and so could not be so picky. We currently clean just over 400 premises and have about 230 cleaners.

- If you are not happy with any clean during the first 2 weeks, it is free.
Sometimes while the cleaner is getting used to office or place they are cleaning things can be missed or not cleaned to your standard while they get their bearings. We do not believe you should pay for this and so we will not charge you if any of these happen.
We have new offers weekly so please do give us a call to find out the latest offers. - For the first month you can cancel with no notice – You can literally cancel within 1 second, there is no notice period!
- For the first year there is just 2 working days’ notice cancellation required.
After the first year, just one month’s notice cancellation is required as we hope you feel comfortable with us by then.
Things to note:
We do have these things for the special offers, which we hope you agree are sensible.
For the free cleans, you need to have told us of the issue by mid-day the next day, or 6 office hours before the next clean, so we can sort it out for you.
They are also subject to the last 4 months, or since you started with us, payments being on time.
Refunds are for cleaning service and not cleaning materials, or products, used or purchased.
The special offer also cannot cover any TUPE staff as we cannot know for sure what they are like.

Hourly rate
Most of our London clients use the hourly rate quote system as they already have a cleaner and know how many hours they require. This will give them the cost per hour.
Price per job
A fixed price estimate asks more questions such as type of business, size of premises, and number of staff and if there will be any hand washing of cups etc. This will give a much more accurate quote and all the costs involved.
We can come and visit you
The third way is to arrange a visit from one of our professional cleaning managers, who will come to your London premises and see exactly what is required and will arrange a detailed quote based on your personal requirements.
They can also tell you new ideas to keep your office nice and clean that you haven’t even thought of.
We never create work to increase the hours so it will be more expensive for you.
Some people do both an online quote and ask us to come in person to do one as well.
We are also delighted to come, just because it gives us a chance to put a face to a name!

The Cleaning Proposal
You will get a full customised proposal, based on the type of service, size of the place, how many hours per week and your other personal requirements.
Also the different things and needs of your premises. Such as which rooms are most important, what cleaning processes are most important, what is special about your premises and requirements.
Also more basic things like where the cleaning materials should be stored, how we should gain access and leave and so on.
It is a continuous process and we look forward to continually improving as we learn more and more about your premises and needs.
Total transparency
We are totally transparent – we show you everything in the proposal. For example, how much the cleaner will be paid, the cleaner’s taxes, holiday pay, statutory sickness and maternity contingency budget, cleaning materials and so on. Then on top of that will be our management fee.
This means you can see you are getting value for money and please do compare us to organising a cleaner yourself, without using an office cleaning service.
Office cleaning schedule and quality controls
We will create a schedule for all our cleaners so we are aware of what they need to do and on which day and time.
All our customers have a job specification which is a list of all the duties required by each cleaner to each customer.
All our cleaners receive these for the jobs they are doing. Holiday cover cleaners are also given a copy, so they are aware of exactly what is required meaning that you shouldn’t notice any changes in the cleaning service, as we have got it covered for you.
Office cleaning checklist
For our standard and 5 star service, we have supervisors who regularly visit our cleaners while they are working to make sure everything is being cleaned correctly and there are no problems for our London clients.
We also meet clients to check the job and get feedback from the customers, when the cleaner is not present. The supervisors will go through the cleaning specification created between the client and ourselves and make sure everything is being adhered to.

All our new cleaners have to register with the agency and fill in a questioner and have an extensive interview with our recruitment team.
We ask them many office cleaning interview questions and test them with sample problems they may face while cleaning and see how they would deal with them.
This is an excellent way to distinguish between the ok and the professional commercial cleaners.
We are very picky with who we take on, only people that are totally honest, reliable and capable at cleaning are taken on.
We have made sure we do not get too big, so we can still be picky about who we take on. Some of the larger companies need so many cleaners, that they cannot be so picky.
Office Cleaning Training

We try to take on cleaners with previous cleaning experience. However if an applicant is showing a real enthusiasm for the job then we will take them on and train them ourselves. Our training involves learning about the different cloths and products which are to be used in different parts of the offices, how to use the machinery safely and all other forms of cleaning required for an office.
It is a detailed training course, built from our many years of experience. As we learn each new thing over the years, we add it to our office cleaning service training course.
All our cleaners are proficient in all sorts of cleaning, from large boardrooms with plush carpeting and imposing table and chairs, to a tiny room with little nooks and crannies to dust.
